Pottery Barn has signed a deal with the Norman Rockwell art brand to create a licensed holiday home furnishings collection.
Inspired by the late artist’s paintings and illustrations, the new Pottery Barn collection includes a selection of bedding, linen sets, pillows, tea towels, wine bags, framed artwork and other decorative accessories for the Christmas season.
The designs feature holiday motifs such as poinsettias, red ribbons, Santa Claus, reindeer and the word Noel printed in an elegant script.
“As we celebrate the holiday season, we’re delighted to bring a touch of nostalgia and joy into our customers’ homes with our new collaboration with Norman Rockwell,” said Pottery Barn president, Monica Bhargava. “Norman Rockwell’s iconic, vintage artwork of Santa captures the magic of the holidays, reminding us of cherished traditions as we gather together.”
Norman Rockwell was a 20th century artist who is known for his nostalgic depictions of residential life in America.
The licensing rights to the artist’s IP portfolio is managed by the Norman Rockwell Family Agency, which was established by the artist’s three sons to promote, protect and preserve their father’s art and legacy.
“Norman Rockwell captured the magic of the winter holidays,” said Norman Rockwell Family Agency manager, Margaret Rockwell. “He painted Santa and his elves, Christmas homecomings and joyful surprises. The Rockwell Family is delighted to share his timeless spirit through our partnership with Pottery Barn, celebrating the season with warmth and good cheer. His art will remind us of Christmases past and help us to prepare for a very special holiday this year.”
