October 31, 2025

TLL Staff

Authentic Brands Group has appointed Victor Alvarino as Senior Vice President, Head of Mexico.

Alvarino will be tasked with growing Authentic’s footprint in one of the region’s most dynamic and culturally rich markets.

Authentic Brands Group (ABG) is among the world’s top brand owners and a leading owner of sports, lifestyle and entertainment intellectual property.

ABG’s strategy has been to acquire and own iconic brands, position them for long-term growth, and partner with top-tier operators to scale globally.

Authentic owns more than 50 global brands, generating approximately $32 billion in annual system-wide retail sales. These brands have a significant presence in 150 countries, with more than 30,000 freestanding stores and shop-in-shops, as well as 500,000 points of sale worldwide. Authentic’s portfolio of globally recognized brands includes Shaquille O’Neal, David Beckham, Reebok, Champion, Nautica, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Sports Illustrated, and many more.

Alvarino brings more than two decades of leadership experience across luxury, beauty and consumer goods. ABG says Alvarino was chosen for the critical role due to his demonstrated ability to drive market expansion, lead omnichannel strategies and enhance brand presence.

Most recently, Alvarino served as Deputy General Manager of Ralph Lauren Fragrances at L’Oréal Luxe in New York, where he oversaw the global go-to-market strategy and spearheaded the brand’s expansion in Asia. Prior to that, he was General Manager of L’Oréal Luxe Mexico, where he managed a portfolio of 15 prestige brands and delivering four consecutive years of market share growth.

In his new role at Authentic, Alvarino will lead the company’s strategy in Mexico, focusing on brand development, strategic partnerships and the growth of Authentic’s portfolio. He’ll be working closely with Neal Seideman, the president of ABG in Latin America.

“Victor brings a rare combination of global expertise and deep local insight, having built brands and grown businesses across multiple markets,” said Seideman. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the team as we broaden our reach in LATAM and reinforce our presence in a key territory.”

Over the course of his career, Alvarino has held leadership roles in Europe, Latin America and the United States, managing iconic brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Kiehl’s, Biotherm and Lancôme. Earlier in his career, he held brand management positions at Kimberly-Clark and L’Oréal Mexico.

“I’m excited to join Authentic at a time of remarkable global growth. Mexico is a vibrant market with tremendous potential, fueled by its creativity, culture and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Alvarino. “At Authentic, my priority will be to drive sustainable growth and forge strategic partnerships to connect our brands with consumers in a relevant way.”

Alvarino is based in Mexico City and assumed his new role on September 29.
