Build-A-Bear Workshop has released its first licensing collaboration with the Dungeons & Dragons entertainment franchise.
The recently-released licensed products include a red dragon plush toy and a D&D fan t-shirt that is designed to fit all standard-size Build-A-Bear plush models.
The D&D Red Dragon Plush by Build-A-Bear features red scaly fur, plush wings, and the Dungeons & Dragons emblem emblazoned on the left paw pad. The D&D plush t-shirt features a red D&D logo that is printed on black fabric.
Both licensed D&D products can be found exclusively online in Build-A-Bear’s web-based adult collectible platform called The Bear Cave.
The Dungeons & Dragons franchise initially launched as a tabletop role-playing fantasy game in 1974. It was acquired by the game publishing company Wizards of the Coast in 1997, which became a subsidiary of Hasbro in 1999.
Since its creation, the Dungeons and Dragons franchise has expanded to include online video games, published works, animated series, licensed consumer products, a film series, and more.
The limited-edition Dungeons & Dragons x Build-A-Bear products are intended to support the launch of the franchises’ new feature film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
