Heathside Trading Ltd. has secured an agreement with Alcon Television Group to become an authorized licensee for The Expanse sci-fi franchise.
Heathside Trading Ltd is a manufacturing and wholesale company that specializes in developing and distributing product ranges based on licensed pop-culture IPs.
“So thrilled to be adding The Expanse to our increasing portfolio of properties, the huge global fanbase for this license will mean we will be able to bring some really nice content to fans worldwide,” said Heathside manager, Darren Epstein.
As an authorized licensee for The Expanse, Heathside Trading will create and distribute a curated selection of die-cast vehicles, prop replicas and figures inspired by the franchise.
The first collection of licensed products will launch in Spring 2024 through the direct-to-consumer ecommerce website, MasterReplicas, and select retail partners.
The agreement between the two companies was facilitated by Heathside’s licensing consultant KJG Ltd. and Striker Entertainment, the licensing representative for The Expanse IP.
“We are delighted to see Heathside come aboard to bring an elevated, yet accessible line of products to market for The Expanse fans,” said Striker Entertainment VP, Mandy Bardisbanian.
Produced by Alcon Television Group, The Expanse is a live-action sci-fi TV show that was developed and scripted by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.
Based on a novel series by James S.A. Corey, the TV series is currently available to stream through Amazon Prime and can be purchased on AppleTV+ and VUDU.
