Falcon’s Creative Group has appointed Matthew M. Martin to the newly-created position of vice president of design.
In his new position at the company, Martin will be responsible for leading a team of creative directors to design and develop immersive themed experiences for the company’s portfolio of wholly-owned IPs and partner brands.
“I’ve had the great pleasure to work with Matthew over the years and admire his genius-level ability to develop and execute complex large-scale projects that seamlessly tie cutting-edge technology with compelling storytelling to amaze and inspire audiences, his colleagues and the theme park industry,” said Falcon’s Beyond CEO, Cecil D. Magpuri. “Matthew has a mastery of his craft and brings a substantial depth of knowledge and emotional intelligence to his work, and I’m thrilled to have him lend his vision to our team.”
With more than 30 years of experience in the themed entertainment industry, Matthew most recently served as the creative director for Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN).
During his time at SEVEN, Martin oversaw the development and brand enhancements of multiple high-profile entertainment destinations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Throughout his career, Martin has also worked in executive leadership roles at Universal Creative, Merlin Magic Making and DesignWorks.
Matthew’s experience in higher education includes earning an MFA in scene design from Boston University and a BA in architecture from Syracuse University.

Martin is joining Falcon’s Creative Group during a time of growth for the company, which has been scaling up its workforce to support several significant creative projects.
These ongoing projects include serving as the master planner, attraction designer and creative developer for a Dragon Ball-inspired theme park in Qiddiya City.
Also within Qiddiya City, Falcon’s Creative Group is overseeing the master planning and creative guardianship of Saudi Arabia’s first water-focused theme park, Aquarabia.
In addition, the company is providing support in experience design and technology development for a dedicated Gaming and Esports district within the City.
