Mattel and Ferrari have launched a licensing partnership to develop a full range of Ferrari-inspired Hot Wheels products.
The upcoming Hot Wheels x Ferrari collection will deliver a wide range of mainline die-cast vehicles, remote-control (RC) cars and limited-edition toy models that will debut throughout 2025.
Designed to expand upon their previous die-cast collection, the licensed product line will feature a variety of Ferrari’s classic racing and road models, as well as the brand’s newest luxury car creations.
Available for pre-order on the Mattel Creations platform, the first product in the collaboration is a limited-edition 1:64 scale Ferrari die-cast vehicle that will officially debut this spring.
Additional product drops and announcements will follow throughout 2025 and the coming years.
“It was a passion project for the Hot Wheels team to deliver authentic visions of these iconic Ferrari models for the next generation of car lovers to enjoy while, at the same time, creating something extra-special for collectors to appreciate,” said Hot Wheels EVP, Roberto Stanichi. “We look forward to seeing the world’s reaction to our vision for some of the most beautiful rolling works of art in automotive history, crafted by our team of design experts that can do it better than anyone else can.”
Officially announced at the Nuremberg International Toy fair, this new partnership marks the first collaboration between Hot Wheels and Ferrari in over a decade.
Since Hot Wheels was first created in 1968, the two brands have collaborated on 26 different model car offerings.
Several of the brand’s previous collaborations have went on to become high-profile items among the model car collector community.
Founded in 1939, Ferrari is an Italian automobile manufacturing company and racing brand that specializes in developing luxury sports cars, race cars and high-tech supercars.
Since its official launch as a racing brand, the company’s teams have won more than 5,000 races across multiple competition categories including Formula 1, Grand Prix, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Mille Miglia and more.
Owner of the Hot Wheels toy brand, Mattel is a global company that develops, produces, manufactures and distributes a wide range of branded products and entertainment content.
These offerings include toys, feature films, TV content, video games, music and experiential events that are based on their extensive portfolio of in-house IPs and licensed partner brands.
