World of EPI is set to introduce a licensed line of collectible dolls based on the characters from Marvel’s feature film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
World of EPI is a leading toy manufacturing and design firm that focuses on providing authentic representation to children across the globe.
The company was founded in 2003 by Dr. Lisa Williams. All doll lines from World of EPI are created with one-of-a-kind face sculpts, custom-blended skin tones, and diverse natural hair textures.
Dr. Lisa Williams and World of EPI were responsible for designing the Fresh Dolls Fierce collection which depicts the lead characters Shuri, Okoye, and Nakia from the upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
“The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Fresh Dolls celebrate the brilliant and empowering Wakanda Warrior characters, and authentically bring their distinct attributes to life,” said Williams, founder of World of EPI.
“Together, we can ensure Black and Brown children everywhere can embrace their individuality, build their confidence and foster imagination during positive play. It’s imperative that children of all ethnicities grow up seeing a true representation of their beauty in the dolls they play with.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the highly-anticipated sequel to Marvel’s popular film Black Panther. The movie focuses on the leaders of Wakanda in their fight to protect their nation from invasion after King T’Challa’s death.
The dolls based on the characters feature striking character likenesses, custom-blended skin tones, authentic hairstyles, intricate fashions, and playable battle accessories. World of EPI is the first to mass produce natural locs hairstyles, worn by Nakia in the film.
Series I of the licensed doll collection is slated to hit retail this October, in advance of the highly anticipated film release on Nov. 11.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was produced by Marvel Studios, a film and television production company that is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios. Marvel Studios produces the massively popular Marvel Cinematic Universe, which features iconic superheroes from Marvel comics.
