IPR Licensing has been appointed the exclusive licensing agency for Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic brand in the UK region.
IPR Licensing specializes in the creation and management of consumer licensing programs for brand owners across a broad range of product categories in the fashion, lifestyle, corporate, and heritage sectors.
IPR will be responsible for expanding Shabby Chic’s presence in the UK market through retail and licensing partnerships.
Rachel Ashwell originally launched the Shabby Chic home décor brand in 1989. Ashwell’s aesthetic combines vintage English heritage with casual California design style. Since the initial creation of Shabby Chic, the brand has expanded to include numerous furniture, home décor and lifestyle collections.
“We are so thrilled to be working with Rachel Ashwell and her team and to bring such a fresh and distinct brand to the UK market,” said IPR Licensing’s Judith le Fleming.
“The depth, breadth and the sheer scale of the design archive that Rachel Ashwell has built over the years, provides extensive inspiration for UK licensees. We’re very excited to see unique and desirable Shabby Chic products launch later this year and beyond.”
Target licensing categories for the UK region include fashion, apparel, accessories, home goods, stationery, and more.
New licensing partnerships are currently in discussion for the brand. Shabby Chic products are expected to launch in the UK retail market later this year.
