The British animal welfare charity Battersea has extended its licensing representation agreement with The Point.1888.
The Point.1888 is a retail-focused brand extension agency that helps its clients boost revenue and consumer engagement through licensed products.
“We are delighted to continue our valued relationship with The Point.1888. Despite the business challenges we have all been facing, it is testament to both the calibre and passion of the team at The Point, as well as the huge affection Battersea holds in the hearts of the UK population, that our licensing program is growing at such speed,” said Battersea’s James Devenny.
“The Battersea brand represents expertise and trust as well as the love and joy of dogs and cats, all of which are encapsulated in our expanding range of practical and gifting products. Buying Battersea products is a great way to support the charity and helps us continue to be there for dogs and cats everywhere. ”
The growth of its licensing program in 2022 provided financial income to the charity to ensure it could continue operating in the current economic climate. The development of new style guide elements that feature seasonal imagery will further increase the charity’s financial stability.
The Battersea brands’ program currently features 23licensees. The newest licensees to join the program include Saxon, Amber House, Meller Designs, Cityfax, Bro Global, Practical Publishing, Welbeck and Danish Designs. The range of new licensees offers retailers and consumers a wide variety of products for both humans and their pets.
The brand is now looking to further expand with new licensing partners for 2023 in categories such as stationery, gifts, party, publishing, toys, and more.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Battersea. It has been so exciting to work with the brand and help aid the incredible work they do through the sale of licensed products,” said The Point.1888’s Becky Langer. “The program has really come into its own this year with a huge variety of products for all the family, developing into a true lifestyle brand with purpose.”
Initially founded in 1860, Battersea is a UK-based animal welfare charity that specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats and dogs. The charity also provides aid through campaign work, educational initiatives, and collaboration with other animal welfare organizations.
