In a partnership facilitated by IMG, the apparel brand Macron is releasing the World Rugby 2023 tournament’s officially licensed merchandise line.
IMG represented World Rugby as its Global Master Licensee for the deal with the Macron sportswear brand. IMG is a subsidiary of Endeavor that specializes in sports, licensing, fashion, events and media.
The new Rugby-focused sportswear line consists of two main collections: the Event Collection and the Capsule City Collection.
The Event Collection includes t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, and rainproof, thermal jackets featuring designs based on the World Rugby tournament’s Mobius logo.
The Capsule City Collection pays homage to the 10 French cities that will host the tournament. The collection includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, gym bags and scarves that feature the names of the host cities and the official logo of the World Rugby tournament.
Both product lines were inspired by the French blue, white and red tricolour flag and include products for men, women and children.
As the Official Sports Apparel Supplier of Rugby World Cup 2023, Macron has also designed kits for the tournament’s referees, linesmen, staff and volunteers. The partnership between Macron and World Rugby included collaboration with international governing bodies, federations and clubs.
All items in the official merchandise line will be available for purchase from the RWC 2023 online store, the official Macron e-commerce site, all Macron Sports Hubs and authorized Macron dealers. The collection will also be available in all stadiums and fanzone stores during the tournament.
