Arcade1Up has announced three new hires to the company’s sales team to support its expanding U.S. and international business.
Eric Van Kannel, Michael Fisher and Kuntha Kith have been appointed as Director of Digital Sales, Sales Manager and Director of Business Planning respectively for the retro arcade entertainment company.
In addition, David McIntosh who has been an employee of Arcade1Up since the company’s creation in 2018, has been promoted to Vice President of Retailer Marketing. All three of the new hires will report to Chris Cardenas, Arcade1Up’s Vice President of Sales.
“Our business has really taken off over the last several years and as we head into a new year, adding these key new hires to round-out our team was an essential step to supporting that growth,” said Cardenas. “I’m thrilled to leverage their collective experience in the consumer electronics industry to give us new ways to expand our business and open up new channels and opportunities as we continue our mission to create full size arcades for the home that are accessible to the masses.”
As Director of Digital Sales for Arcade1Up, Van Kannel will oversee key sales accounts for both digital-only retailers and online platforms for brick and mortar retailers. Van Kannel joins Arcade1Up from the consumer electronics company, TCL, where he served as Director of Ecommerce Sales.
In his previous position at TCL, Van Kannel was responsible for managing TV sales for the company’s ecommerce business. Van Kannel has more than 15 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry across a broad range of sales and marketing categories.
In his new position at Arcade1Up, Fisher will be responsible for managing the company’s sales team, growing the company’s club relationships, and direct the distribution of new product launches.
With over 15 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, Fisher most recently spent six years at the audio equipment manufacturer, Bose Corporation.
At the Bose Corporation, Fisher held multiple sales roles that involved managing large regional retailers, leading the Custom Install channel, and handling product distribution. Prior to Bose, Fisher held positions at Toshiba and Haier, where he managed TV and audio products.
Kith joins Arcade1Up as Director of Business Planning from TCL where he served in the same role. In his previous position at TCL, Kith was responsible for developing systems and processes for business management, developing supply chains, and improving efficiency. Prior to his eight years at TCL, Kith served as Senior Sales Analyst for Toshiba and Senior Forecast Analyst at Vizio.
McIntosh, the new Vice President of Retailer Marketing at Arcade1Up, will focus his efforts on reaching consumers through retailer-specific marketing initiatives. Prior to his recent promotion, McIntosh was Director of Marketing and Communication at the company for more than three years.
Arcade1Up is a hardware manufacturing company that specializes in developing retro-style, at-home arcade gaming machines using modern computer components and software capabilities.
The company is known for forming licensing agreements with video game developers and entertainment brands to translate popular franchises onto their gaming systems. Arcade1Up is a subsidiary of the global consumer products developer, Tastemakers LLC.
