The Art Ask Agency has signed new clients Moomin and House of Turnowsky, and is celebrating the release of a Frida Kahlo collection by Christian Dior.
Unveiled in May, the house of Christian Dior has presented a captivating collection inspired by Frida Kahlo. Drawing inspiration from Frida Kahlo’s personal style, cultural heritage, and artistic vision, Art Ask says, “the Christian Dior collection captures the essence of her bold and unapologetic approach to life.”
The unique collaboration is a testament to the enduring influence of Frida Kahlo, whose art and personal journey continue to captivate and inspire millions around the world, the agency adds. “The collection reflects Kahlo’s celebration of individuality, strength, and embracing one’s true self, making it a fitting tribute to her iconic legacy.”
The Frida Kahlo collection will be available at select Dior boutiques worldwide, as well as through the brand’s online platform, allowing fashion enthusiasts from around the globe to embrace Kahlo’s spirit and style.
Art Ask To Rep Tove Jansson’s Moomin Book Series
Art Ask Agency says it is also thrilled to be representing the Moomins under its lifestyle brand portfolio.
As the Moomin’s themselves might have said, “Isn’t life exciting! Everything can change all of a sudden, and for no reason at all!”
Moomin characters originated in the Tove Jansson books many years ago, and has since been translated into hundreds of languages around the world. Moomin is one of the world’s most popular and enduring children’s book series, and has been highly successful in licensing programs for decades.
“Moomin assets are beautiful, artistic and tell wonderful stories,” Art Ask says. “The multiple style guides are relevant for different age groups; cute for younger age groups, elegant or comical for adults.
The values are perfect for the current times; Family, friendship, tolerance, respect, love, adventure, braveness, inclusivity and diversity.”
The agency agreement also comes as The Moomins prepare for its 80th anniversary in 2025. Art Ask Agency says a campaign is being prepared to the focus on the stories’ underlying themes of belonging and inclusiveness.
“To be happy you have to feel you belong, but in Moominvalley you don’t need to fit in to belong,” Art Ask explains. “Each character is welcomed as they are and accepted for who they are.”
The agency says there will be a variety of high impact opportunities for licensed product sales with a high level of visibility for the Moomin brand on their anniversary.
