Moxie and Co has secured a global partnership with the Romare Bearden Foundation to represent its artwork, prints and commercial designs.
The Romare Bearden Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 1990 by the estate of Romare Bearden to preserve and expand upon the late artist’s legacy.
Bearden was an African-American multi-media artist who created numerous cartoons, oil paintings, collages, and written works.
“The Foundation realizes its mission by preserving a collection of Bearden’s artworks and extensive archives of books, articles, letters, photographs, and other materials; hosting, supporting and presenting scholarly and public programs, including symposia, panel presentations and school-based programs featuring Bearden’s art and life; providing support for and encouragement of museum exhibitions and new scholarly research on Bearden and his contributions to twentieth-century art,” said Bearden Foundation co-director, Johanne Bryant-Reid. “The Romare Bearden Foundation has set the pace for innovation, inclusivity, creativity and impact among public media brands and our friends at Moxie are poised to grow awareness via exciting and new innovative product launches.”
Moxie & Co. is a full-service global brand management, promotion and licensing agency. Moxie develops and manages strategic licensing programs across a wide array of product categories at all levels of retail around the globe.
“Our plan is to launch Romare Bearden’s work at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center this June,” said Bearden Foundation president, Arlene Scanlan. “Exact dates are June 12–14 and Moxie’s booth number is F128.”
Moxie will be working with the Romare Bearden Foundation on the development of licensing extension programs for the Foundation’s portfolio of artistic properties. This will include extensions into licensed consumer products, electronics, home goods, fashion, toys, branded merchandise and promotional tie-ins.
