Authentic Brands Group has acquired the intellectual property of the British outdoor lifestyle brand Hunter.
The Hunter lifestyle brand currently offers an extensive collection of footwear, outerwear, bags and accessories designed for outdoor performance in both rural and urban environments.
To support Hunter’s international expansion, Authentic has appointed The Batra Group and Marc Fisher Footwear as the brand’s core design, development, and distribution partners in their respective regions.
“We are excited to finalize the acquisition of Hunter, an original footwear and outerwear pioneer,” said Authentic CEO, Jamie Salter. “At the intersection of fashion and outdoor, Hunter introduces another elevated global brand to Authentic’s diverse Lifestyle portfolio.
“We are also pleased to expand our relationships with two long-standing Authentic partners, Batra Group and Marc Fisher, each of whom has a proven track record of unparalleled expertise in product development across a range of categories and an established network of prominent retailers,” Salter added. “We will look forward to working with them and our greater partner network to continue growing the Hunter brand.”
The Batra Group is a diversified global organization that provides services such as product development, design, sourcing and distribution. For its newly expanded partnership with Authentic, The Batra Group will become the Hunter brand’s core licensee for the UK and continental Europe.
Batra will be responsible for designing and developing Hunter footwear, apparel and accessories.
The company will also operate Hunter’s branded retail stores, wholesale distribution and e-commerce platforms in the region.
Marc Fisher has been appointed as Hunter’s core footwear partner in the United States. Marc Fisher Footwear will be responsible for the brand’s footwear design, wholesale, and ecommerce operations across the US.
Authentic plans to utilize its global network of operating partners to accelerate the worldwide expansion of Hunter in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and key markets across the Asia Pacific region.
Additional partners for the brand are expected to be announced in the coming months.
