Global Icons and Fleischer Studios have signed a wide range of new licensing collaborations for the Betty Boop entertainment brand.
Launched in 1930, the Betty Boop character IP was created by Max Fleischer of Fleischer Studios, in association with Paramount.
Since its creation, the Betty Boop brand has been featured in a wide range of movies, TV series, commercials and licensed consumer products.
The new collaborative licensing partnerships for the brand include new Betty Boop themed apparel, accessories and pet products from licensees like Bella Doña, Marc Jacobs, Buckle-Down and Goodie Two Sleeves.
Co-founded by LaLa Romero and Natalia Durazo, Bella Doña is a fashion brand that is rooted in both Chicano and LA culture.
The Bella Doña x Betty Boop partnership will debut with a new apparel and accessories collection as part of the larger-scale Betty of the People initiative.
The Betty of the People initiative was created by the IP owner, Fleischer Studios, to make the Betty Boop brand more accessible to a wider range of cultures and communities around the world.
The upcoming Marc Jacobs x Betty Boop collection will feature a line of specialty t-shirts, bags and accessories that are decorated with images of the licensed character.

Buckle-Down will also be releasing a new line of Betty Boop-themed pet products including a large selection of collars, leashes, bowls and more.
Goodie Two Sleeves is also appealing to pet owners with a new line of Betty Boop-inspired pet apparel for the 2024 holiday season.
The Betty Boop brand is also unveiling new character art for licensees in May at the upcoming International Licensing Show in Las Vegas.
As part of their efforts to further extend the franchise’s growth into new demographics and markets, Fleischer Studios and Global Icons already launched several other Betty Boop licensing collaborations throughout this past year.
These existing collabs include an ongoing collection of Betty Boop watch bands, phone cases and AirPod cases by Affinity Brand Partners, a themed cosmetics line by Glamlite, and a hand-painted Betty Boop apparel collection by the wearable art brand, Wren + Glory.
In addition, a licensed theatrical production called BOOP! The Musical premiered in Chicago last December. The licensed BOOP! The Musical show is expected to debut on Broadway in spring of 2025.
