Finally, consumers can get the taste of Subway sandwiches and salads at home, thanks to a deal brokered by Broad Street Licensing Group.
The agreement sees the massive Subway chain partnering with the T. Mazetti Company for a line of four signature Subway sauces that will be available in stores nationwide this month.
Fans of Subway will instantly recognize the four sauces that will be made available in late March. They include Sweet Onion Teriyaki, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Baja Chipotle and Creamy Italian MVP. The sauces are obviously ideal for sandwiches, but are also great for use as dressing or dips.
The deal also comes with a tasty benefit for Subway’s sandwich artists and other restaurant employees, as the Subway Sauce program will see benefits flowing to the Fresh Start Scholarship Fund. The fund is a program that offers tuition assistance to Subway restaurant employees. Scholarship recipients receive $2,500 (USD) towards their secondary education. Since the program’s inception, more than 1,700 scholarships have been awarded.
Subway’s four 16-ounce bottled sauces will roll out to select US grocers and retail stores next week, including Walmart, Kroger and Albertson’s, with more to be added. Subway and T. Marzetti also collaborated on recipes that highlight the unique flavor of each sauce, like Asian Chicken Bowl or Grilled Shrimp Salsa.
The deal was brokered by Broad Street Licensing Group, which is a TLL Top Twenty licensing agency, and among the most successful restaurant, food and beverage agencies in the world. In addition to Subway, Broad Street represents other top brands like Burger King, Tony Roma’s, Unilever, and many more.
