Adorable characters from the LINE app will be available at Starbucks through the holidays, thanks to a licensing deal with LINE FRIENDS.
Starbucks this week announced the collaboration with LINE FRIENDS, a global brand and leading creative studio that has created some of the world’s most beloved characters. The joyful collection of lifestyle essentials featuring BROWN & FRIENDS will be available for a limited time at select Starbucks stores across the Asia Pacific region, just in time for the holidays.
“We are thrilled to team up with Starbucks on this exciting, festive collaboration,” said LINE FRIENDS. “In celebration of the coming holidays, this collaboration not only offers gift-worthy lifestyle accessories, but also heartwarming videos featuring BROWN, LINE messenger stickers and digital content that will engage our customers with friends and loved ones on a timeless moment filled with seasonal joy and holiday cheer.”
The Starbucks X LINE FRIENDS collaboration will take you on a happiness-filled holiday adventure with BROWN, CONY, and the entire BROWN & FRIENDS lineup. The gift-worthy collection of drinkware and lifestyle accessories highlights two unique designs that feature festive green and red hues.
“This collaboration brings together Starbucks and LINE FRIENDS’ shared passion for creating meaningful moments and making every day special,” said Erin Silvoy, vice president, Product and Marketing, Starbucks Asia Pacific. “This partnership brings our customers merry fun and holiday cheer, along with a new way to connect with loved ones and share a special moment this holiday season.”
LINE is an immensely popular social media and messaging app developed in Japan, which includes emojis that took on a life of their own, becoming popular as characters globally, but particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
The limited-edition collection was launched Dec. 7 at select Starbucks stores across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, while supplies last.
Starbucks and LINE say they have more collaborations coming in 2022.
