ZAG has signed an agreement with Build-A-Bear Workshop for the first officially licensed Miraculous Ladybug plush bear.
Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is a 3D-CGI-animated superhero series created by the ZAG entertainment studio and co-produced with Mediawan’s Method Animation division. The fifth season of the series began airing in fall 2022 and an animated feature film is currently in development for the franchise.
“Our goal is to continue to find fun new ways for kids and families to immerse themselves in the world of Miraculous and together with Build-A-Bear, fans of all ages will be able to create memorable experiences,” said Zag CEO, Jeremy Zag. “Build-A-Bear is one of the most respected brands in children’s entertainment and we’re delighted that Miraculous fans will be able to create their own super-powered furry friend.”
Build-A-Bear is a global toy brand that specializes in personalized plush products. The Miraculous Ladybug Bear plush features soft grey fur, blue eyes, and ladybug paw pads. The bear can be personalized with licensed outfits inspired by Miraculous characters.
The co-branded outfits for the Build-A-Bear plush include a Miraculous Ladybug Costume, a Cat Noir Costume, and a Miraculous graphic T-shirt.
The costumes and plush will be available in Build-A-Bear stores across North America, the UK and online, and the Miraculous Build-A-Bear product launch will be promoted by an extensive marketing campaign that includes digital advertising, social media influencers, and a loyalty program.
ZAG’s consumer products division is run by Julian Zag. The CP division handles the licensing, merchandising, gaming, promotions, and toy development for the company’s brand portfolio.
