Bulldog Licensing has expanded the licensing program for the Odo preschool entertainment brand in the UK and select international territories.
Produced by Sixteen South and Letko, Odo is an animated TV series for the preschool demographic that was created by Colin Williams. The show follows a young owl named Odo and his best friend Doodle as they overcome various challenges at the Forest Camp for Young Birds.
Odo premiered on Channel 5’s pre-school broadcasting service Milkshake! in the UK region. Since its initial UK premiere, the property has been sold to broadcasting networks in a hundred and forty-five countries around the world.
“Warmth, humour and very engaging characters are combined with themes of creativity, imagination, kindness and friendship in this winning and delightful TV series,” said Bulldog Licensing manager, Sophie Yates. “Odo is enjoying a very strong response from broadcasters and viewers – and we have no doubt this appealing and original character will be equally popular with licensees.”
Bulldog’s licensing program for Odo in the UK currently includes licensees for publishing, apparel, bags, socks, toys, and mascots for commercial events.
The publishing company Pan Macmillan released two English-language book titles for the Odo brand in March, 2023. The licensed books are called Odo Super Owl! and Odo The Egg. Two additional Odo books are expected to launch later this year.
Odo Super Owl has been featured as part of Milkshake! Mornings live book readings at Parkdean Resorts. In addition, the Odo books will be featured in an upcoming season of Story Den on Milkshake!
