Apparently girls don’t just wanna have fun; they also wanna have a solid licensing program.
Epic Rights has announced it is now representing Cyndi Lauper, the Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning musical star behind hit songs such as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” and “True Colors.”
Epic Rights says it will be developing a robust licensing program across multiple categories such as fashion, apparel, footwear, accessories, health & beauty, home décor, digital gaming, collectibles, and more. The initial product launch for some categories will be spring 2022.
Lauper is an American singer, songwriter, actress and activist with a career spanning over 40 years.
Her album She’s So Unusual in 1983 was the first debut album by a female artist to achieve four top-five hits on the Billboard Top 100, including “Girls Just Want to Have Fun“, “Time After Time“, “She Bop“, and “All Through the Night.” The album earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the Grammies in 1985.
Since 1983, Lauper has released 11 studio albums and participated in many other projects. Among the most successful projects, outside of her albums, was the score for the Broadway hit Kinky Boots, for which Lauper won a Tony and a Grammy.
