Concept One Accessories will be releasing a line of backpacks, perfect for carrying your wand and other school supplies, for LA retailer Fred Segal.
The new line of backpacks are being produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products for release on Aug. 15, 2023. The line features a range of cross body and mini backpacks designed to give a fresh perspective on the Wizarding World from the Harry Potter films.
“This has been one of the most fun collaborations we’ve ever had the opportunity to work on,” Sam Hafif, CEO Concept One Accessories, said. “The combination of the Harry Potter themed elements, together with the Hollywood aesthetic of the Fred Segal brand, has opened our minds to create unique products that are sure to excite the millions of Harry Potter fans around the world.
“This collection will appeal to collectors and trend setters alike and is the springboard for future exciting collaborations we have planned over the next year.”
Eight blockbuster Harry Potter films based on the original stories by J.K. Rowling have brought the magical stories to life, and today, the Wizarding World is recognized as one of the world’s best-loved brands.
The Wizarding World franchise now includes three epic Fantastic Beasts films, the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child video and mobile games from Portkey Games, innovative consumer products, thrilling live entertainment (including four theme park lands), insightful exhibitions, as well as a forthcoming Harry Potter TV series.
This expanding portfolio of Warner Bros. Discovery owned Wizarding World tours and retail also includes the flagship Harry Potter New York, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo, and the Platform 9 3⁄4 retail shops.
The new collection ranges from $80 to $100 and will be available at Fred Segal stores, as well as other key retail partners.
Fred Segal is not just a retailer, but a famous lifestyle brand that helped define the ‘LA Look’ that sparked a shift in style, changing retail and pop culture forever.
Now owned by Jeff Lotman, CEO of Global Icons, Fred Segal opened its Sunset Boulevard flagship store in 2018, and has since expanded to Malibu, Las Vegas, Studio City and Asia.
