Devsisters is soon releasing a web series called Last Cookie Standing, based on its CookieRun: Kingdom mobile game.
Devsisters is an international gaming company that is best-known for its flagship mobile game franchise CookieRun. Based in South Korea, Devsisters currently has offices in Japan, Taiwan, Germany, and the U.S.
“Last Cookie Standing is a testament to our small but passionate teams’ boundless creativity and dedication to our fans,” said Devsisters CD, Jenn Wu. “This project is more than just a series; it’s a significant accomplishment, the beginning of an innovative, creative journey, and a showcase of our limitless potential.”
Scheduled to debut on the CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube channel, Last Cookie Standing will extend the CookieRun brand with new licensed merchandise and partnerships based on the upcoming web series.
The web series follows 12 tough cookie characters that are marooned on the Tropical Soda Island to compete in a competitive survival game show.
“Last Cookie Standing is all about giving our fans an opportunity to get to know our Cookies more and have fun with the IP along the way,” said Last Cookie Standing director, Vi Viet. “With character interactions you wouldn’t normally experience in the game and some easter eggs sprinkled throughout, we hope the viewers will enjoy this bite-sized web series of CookieRun: Kingdom.”
To support the release of Last Cookie Standing, Devsisters recently appointed the global brand management firm Evolution as its master licensing agency for the CookieRun brand.
In addition, CookieRun: Kingdom and Sharetea are partnering for an in-store licensing promotion that includes free CookieRun-themed merchandise and a chance to win a year of free boba at participating Sharetea locations. The promotional partnership will take place from Nov. 3 to Dec. 3.
Last Cookie Standing will debut on the CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube Channel weekly starting Nov. 8. New Last Cookie Standing episodes will air weekly until the series finale in December.
Devsisters intends to expand the CookieRun IP further with new games and content such as CookieRun: OvenSmash, CookieRun: Witch’s Castle, and CookieRun: Tower of Adventures.
