The venerable kids’ show Sesame Street has really been going to the dogs of late, first Elmo got a pet dog named Tango, and now with a new line of dog toys.
Partner firm BARK is bringing Sesame Street’s Muppets to our four-legged friends with a limited-edition collection of lovable and tuggable dog toys.
Beginning this week, new BarkBox subscribers can choose a free Elmo “Pup-pet” dog toy, Big Bird Rope Tug dog toy or Cookie Monster Sandwich dog toy, filled with crazy crinkle and squeakers and ready for playtime.
Current subscribers can add BARK’s Sesame Street-themed toys to their next box, including the Sesame Street Food collection—featuring characters as street food favorites, like Elmo Pretzel, Ernie Burger, Bert Dog and Big Bird Ice Cream.
The move follows the popular launch of Tango (see link to story below), who is a puppy adopted by the Sesame Street character Elmo.

As characters together, Elmo and Tango were intended to show children how to properly care for a new pet, including how to play gently and how to show affection for our furry friends.
The partners BARK and Sesame Street say their collaboration extends that pet friendly theme, and brings the fun for the dogs as well.
