Dynamite Entertainment is expanding its licensed line of Disney comics with a new series based on the Zootopia franchise.
Beginning in January 2025, Dynamite Entertainment will release monthly drops for the licensed Zootopia comic book series to promote the release of a Zootopia sequel film toward the end of 2025.
The comic book series will be written by Jeff Parker and illustrated by Alessandro Ranaldi.
“The team and I know how eager the audience has been for more stories in the world of Zootopia and we thank Disney for giving us the chance to tell them,” said Parker. “Readers are going to love how Alessandro brings Judy and Nick to life, you can truly hear their voices as you read.
“Speaking of that, all I have to do to get Nick Wilde’s voice right is imagine editor Nate Cosby saying anything,” added Parker. “And don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of the booming Chief Bogo! Zootopia has so much potential for more crime-solving animal adventure, I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg for the Dynamite Disney comics.”

This licensed mystery adventure comic books will feature high-quality cover art from both the animated feature film and from experienced anthropomorphic comic artists such as Trish Forstner, Alessandro Ranaldi, Craig Rousseau and more.
The first volume of the series, titled Disney’s Zootopia #1, will be featured in Diamond Comic Distributors’ November 2024 Previews catalog ahead of its official launch in January 2025.
The comic is currently available for pre-order at local comic book retailers and through digital platforms such as Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus and more.
