In partnership with Epic Story Interactive, Falcon’s Beyond has released its first mobile game based on the company’s Katmandu entertainment franchise.
The new mobile game, Katmandu: EtherMerge, is designed to extend the storyline of the broader Katmandu franchise. It is a free-to-play, merge-based puzzle game that includes licensed characters, locations, and creatures from the Hidden Realms of Katmandu.
“Mobile games, such as Katmandu: EtherMerge, offer a thrilling opportunity to extend the play experience from our theme parks to engage consumers wherever they are, enabling a deeper connection to the Katmandu franchise,” said Falcon’s Beyond CEO, Cecil D. Magpuri.
“Supporting our proprietary 360° IP Expander model, we are pushing brand storytelling to the next level by creating an immersive entertainment experience.”
Katmandu: EtherMerge was developed in collaboration with the online gaming company Epic Story Interactive. Epic Story Interactive is a subsidiary of the brand management company Epic Story Media.
The newly released mobile game is part of Falcon’s Beyond’s ongoing partnership with Epic Story Media to expand the Katmandu IP into different avenues of the global entertainment market.
Katmandu: EtherMerge is the first Falcon’s Beyond mobile title to be released from a larger portfolio of mobile games that are currently in development by the company.
Katmandu: EtherMerge and future Falcon’s Beyond mobile games will be integrated into the company’s loyalty and online gaming platform, BeyondME.
Initially announced last September, BeyondME allows Falcon’s Beyond customers to earn and redeem experience points for rewards from both digital and real-world attractions.
The release of Katmandu: EtherMerge follows other recent news from the company including the debut of the e-commerce website Shop Falcon’s Beyond and the trading card game, Katmandu: Age of Artifacts.
Falcon’s Beyond is an experiential entertainment development company that specializes in IP expansion. The company brings both proprietary and partner IPs to global markets through location-based attractions, patented technologies, films, TV series, products, licensing, and more.
