Crayola has partnered with the Girls Soccer Network (GSN) as an expansion to the company’s Art of Soccer campaign.
Girls Soccer Network is a media company that has created a global online platform to provide soccer-related resources, training tools, news, community forums, advice and more to interested girls and women.
“I’ve always loved it when people talk about the way player’s ‘express’ themselves on the field as a way to define how they play and who they are,” said GSN founder, Jen Gruskoff. “This idea is often associated to the way we talk about artists and creators, so working with Crayola on soccer content feels natural and is really exciting!”
Selected from GSN’s U.S. ambassador network, 10 talented youth soccer players were given exclusive Crayola packages filled with art supplies such as paint, markers, poster boards, blank soccer balls, and more.

For the partnership, the 10 chosen GSN ambassadors filmed videos of themselves creating art using the Crayola brand supplies they received.
The videos were then posted to their respective Instagram accounts and reposted to the Girls Soccer Network’s official Instagram page.
“Crayola celebrates creativity—whether it’s colorful self-expression through art or innovative play making while on the pitch,” said Crayola CEO, Rich Wuerthele. “The world soccer tournament is a unique opportunity to help kids learn teamwork, problem solving, community, and creativity through art and athletics, and watch those characteristics in action on the field.”
The GSN x Crayola collaboration is intended to highlight the similarities between playing soccer and artistic expression, encourage new methods of self-expression, and support the growth of girl’s soccer organizations.
