In an agreement brokered by Rocket Licensing, Heathside Trading has partnered with MGM to manufacture and distribute licensed collectibles for the Stargate franchise.
Heathside Trading Ltd is a UK-based manufacturing and wholesale company that specializes in licensed pop-culture consumer products.
The company offers product ranges based on IPs across multiple platforms such as film, TV, manga, gaming, anime and more.
“The team at Heathside is known for their high quality collectibles and the line they are releasing for Stargate is sure to delight fans of the franchise,” said MGM head, Robert Marick. “Through this collaboration, we are continuing to offer additional ways for fans to enjoy Stargate well beyond the content on screen.”
The special-edition Stargate collectibles line will include die-cast ships, prop replicas and figures based on licensed characters, props and starships from the science-fiction franchise.
“We are so thrilled to be working with MGM and Rocket on this series of prop replicas, ships and die cast,” said Heathside’s Darren Epstein. “As big fans of the films and TV series, we are excited to offer new ranges of product under our Master Replicas and Khadou brands!”
Since the debut of MGM’s first Stargate movie in 1994, the franchise has grown to include multi-platform content such as TV series, films, animated series, web series, games, comic books, trading cards and more.
Heathside Trading will release the collectibles on its direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform, Master Replicas, and select retail partners throughout the course of the license.
The first Stargate collectibles are scheduled to launch in spring 2024.
