The pet safety brand Invisible Fence is hosting its fifth-annual From Shelter to Forever Home Donation Contest.
Invisible Fence is a North American pet care brand that provides containment, avoidance, access, recovery and training solutions to reduce the risk of lost and runaway pets.
The From Shelter to Forever Home Donation Contest is intended to raise awareness of Lost Pet Prevention Month and increase the return-to-owner rate of the winning shelter through a grand prize donation of $10,000.
The monetary donation is provided to the shelter or rescue who receives the most nominations during the From Shelter to Forever Home contest.
Using the Grand Prize money from a previous year, the Speranza Animal Rescue in Pennsylvania was able to supply food, care, and vet services for around 570 animals.
“On average, it costs us anywhere between $75,000 and $105,000 a month to care for all our animals,” said Speranza Rescue volunteer, Christy. “We greatly appreciate your support!”
From July 1 to Aug. 31, 2023, the public can nominate local animal shelters through both Facebook sharing and a free voting system on the official Invisible Fence website.
“We’re proud to host our From Shelter to Forever Home Contest for a fifth year,” said Invisible Fence director, Chad Elmore. “The contest is expected to receive thousands of entries and bring awareness to lost pet prevention and help keep pets in their forever homes across the U.S.”
Since its creation in 1973, the Invisible Fence Brand has provided outdoor containment, behavioral training, and pet safety products to over three million cats and dogs in the U.S.
“Our exclusive technology is only part of what makes Invisible Fence Brand the safest and most secure dog fence on the market”, said Elmore. “But it is our animal-behaviorist approved Perfect Start Plus Training that ensures pets understand their boundaries and are confident in their yards.”
According to the American Humane Society, approximately 10 million dogs and cats are lost in the U.S. every year. Preventative safety measures such as containment and recovery systems from Invisible Fence increase the likelihood that pets will remain within household boundaries.
