Jewel has been named the exclusive licensing agent for SCOUT. SCOUT was co-founded by Deb Waterman Johns and her husband Ben Johns in 2004, and is known for designing stylish tote bags for women.
“We are excited to partner with Jewel to bring the SCOUT brand into new product categories and expand our audience,” said Deb Waterman Johns, founder of SCOUT. “Jewel has a proven track record of building design-based brands, and we are confident that they will help us to strategically grow the SCOUT brand.”
The SCOUT brand is best known for its fun, trendy, limited-edition patterns that keep their customers coming back season after season, and for durable, lightweight, smart product designs.
The bags are ideal for everyday use, running errands, commuting to work, heading to the beach or pool, and traveling.
“SCOUT has become well known for their functional, fashionable accessories and we look forward to extending the brand into new products that further support their mission of helping women stay organized and accomplish more,” said Julie Newman, Founder and CEO of Jewel.
The brand includes a full portfolio of patterns and designs available for licensed products. Newman says Waterman Johns finds inspiration everywhere she turns, including her global travels, fashion trends, and her own day-to-day life as a modern, working woman and mother of four. SCOUT’s talented team of artists work collaboratively to interpret her designs, creating hundreds of original patterns each year.
Categories available for licensing include home, apparel, accessories, stationery, gift, travel and beach.
