Konami Cross Media NY, Inc. has expanded into the fashion category with their flagship property, Yu-Gi-Oh!
The new licensing partners for the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand include BAIT, Bershka, Park Agencies and Tuned in Tokyo.
“Our new collaborations will result in strong niche product lines that will provide new avenues for the continued growth of Yu-Gi-Oh! in the highly in-demand and competitive fashion and apparel scene,” said Jennifer Coleman, Vice President of Licensing and Marketing at Konami Cross Media NY. “We look forward to working with our new licensees and retail partners as we further solidify Yu-Gi-Oh!’s place in the pop culture zeitgeist.”
BAIT is a sneaker, apparel, and collectible brand with retail locations all around the United States, Japan, and Taiwan.
Bershka is a retail chain that is owned by the Inditex Group. Bershka is working with Konami Cross Media NY to expand the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand in Europe and in the fast fashion category. The first Yu-Gi-Oh! consumer products drop from Bershka is planned for Fall 2022.
Park Agencies is a designer and developer of licensed merchandise and apparel for brands and licensees. Since it was founded in 2004, Park Agencies has established a strong presence across retail in Europe.
Tuned in Tokyo is an apparel brand with a focus on the Japanese automobile community. Their collaboration with the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand will result in increased exposure to automotive enthusiasts.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! brand began as a manga series by Kazuki Takahashi. It rapidly expanded into a media franchise that includes multiple spin-off manga and anime series, a trading card game, and numerous video games.
