Merrymakers has renewed its partnership with children’s clothing company Rashti & Rashti for a line of Pete the Cat pajamas.
“We are thrilled and honored to continue our relationship with the Pete the Cat team,” said Charlotte Rashti, of Rashti & Rashti. “The books and brand are universally loved by families!
“Pete the Cat promotes a love of reading and an opportunity for kids and parents to bond, especially at bedtime. Our pajama collection offers more of our best-selling cotton snug fit pj’s and has evolved to include a new silky jersey fabric that is super soft.”
Rashti & Rashti is a fourth-generation family-owned business that has been operating for over 70 years. The company began with newborn and infant apparel and has grown to include boys and girls sizes. The company is also well-known for its blankets and plush toys.
“Rashti and Rashti captured Pete the Cat’s groovy style and fun-loving attitude with their creative prints,” said Clair Frederick, President of MerryMakers, Inc.
“Their eye-catching designs picked up on Pete the Cat’s easy-going personality and ever-evolving interests while offering quality and value for families. Kids will love nothing more than snuggling up for story time and bedtime in these fun and comfortable Pete the Cat pajamas.”
The Pete the Cat brand was originally created by James Dean for a children’s book series published by HarperCollins. The book series currently has more than 75 million copies in print since its initial publication in 2010.
Pete the Cat is also featured in a musically-driven comedy series that is available on Amazon Prime. The animated series is produced by Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh and features voices by Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, and Jacob Tremblay.
Pete the Cat original artwork is exhibited in galleries and collected by avid enthusiasts worldwide.
The Pete the Cat IP is represented by Merrymakers, Inc., a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of children’s toys and plush based on popular books.
Rashti & Rashti’s licensed pajama line joins a program of Pete the Cat consumer goods led by Josmo Shoes, Children’s Apparel Network, Educational Insights, Jay Franco, and University Games.
