The London Studio has partnered with Olympia Le-Tan for a licensed purse collection that features designs from its retro-inspired art brand, Dreamadelic.
The licensed collection will incude a range of high-end clutches and evening bags featuring Dreamadelic art pieces that will be hand embroidered by the Olympia Le-Tan designer fashion house. Olympia Le-Tan’s hand-embroidery process can take up to 300 hours to complete.
“It has been a joy seeing the incredible brand Olympia Le-Tan translate our intricate Dreamadelic collection into hand-crafted and hand-embroidered bags, where each stitch takes the place of an artist’s paintbrush, recreating the art as embroidery,” said The London Studio director, Soula Zavacopoulos. “Simply exquisite!”
The London Studio’s Dreamadelic design brand is inspired by the recent resurgence of retro-inspired psychedelic art pieces that are based on posters, paintings and record covers from the 1960s and 1970s. The Studio’s Dreamadelic designs combine the dreamlike imagery associated with the music, culture and art of the 1960s and 1970s with modern trends from the 2020s.
“The witty combination of the familiar and the strikingly different that underpins Dreamadelic makes it an ideal addition to our brand reimaginings of art, literature, movies, music and more,” said Olympia Le-Tan manager, Margot Maffre. “We are expecting a very positive response to this inspired and original design concept.”
Founded in 2009, Olympia Le-Tan is a French fashion house that focuses on creating limited-edition collections of hand-crafted clutch purses and luxury accessories inspired by licensed literature, film covers, artwork and more.
The Olympia Le-Tan x Dreamadelic product range will be previewed during Paris Fashion Week from January 23 to January 29, 2025.
The collection is expected to hit the retail market during the 2025 fall-winter fashion season.
The licensing partnership with Olympia Le-Tan was facilitated by independent licensing sales consultant Maggy Harris of BlueSkye Licensing on behalf of The London Studio.
‘’I’m delighted to have brokered this exciting licensing agreement and long-term relationship between two fabulous and creative art houses,” said BlueSkye Licensing sales consultant, Maggy Harris. “I’m look forward enormously to seeing the wonderful Dreamadelic designs come to life through the unique and fabulous expertise of the brand Olympia Le-Tan.”
