Mattel and Scopely have entered a licensing partnership to bring Masters of the Universe to the Stumble Guys battle royale game.
This new licensing collaboration is the third time a Mattel-owned franchise has been featured in the Stumble Guys online game.
“Masters of the Universe marks our third franchise integration into Stumble Guys, allowing millions of players the opportunity to experience Mattel’s beloved franchises in a fresh new way,” said Mattel head Mike DeLaet. “These types of integrations have proven to be successful in amplifying our fandom across generations for both new audiences and long-time fans.”
The new Masters of the Universe update for the Stumble Guys game features a themed racing map, new daily missions, limited-edition events and character-inspired cosmetics.
Inspired by Castle Grayskull, the new racing map includes a range of licensed obstacles, characters and features that are based on elements from the Masters of the Universe IP. The licensed characters featured in the level include He-Man, Skeletor, the Sorceress, Evil-Lyn, and more.
“We’ve loved reuniting with our partners at Mattel to bring Masters of the Universe into the vibrant Stumbleverse,” said Scopely SVP, Naz Amarchi. “Weaving the iconic characters and settings of Eternia into the fun-filled gameplay of Stumble Guys will delight our players with a blend of nostalgia and action.”
The limited-edition licensing collaboration also includes exclusive in-game cosmetics, themed events and a Masters of the Universe-inspired tournament season.
Stumble Guys is a free-to-play party battle royale game that features fast-paced multiplayer competitions, social mechanics and several different game-play modes. Since being acquired by Scopely in 2022, Stumble Guys has continued to expand through partnerships with entertainment, gaming and toy brands such as Hot Wheels, Pac-Man, Tetris, Barbie and more.
