Memento Exclusives just released a collectibles collection in tribute to the new Moto3 world champion David Alonso.
The collection was released under MotoGP Authentics, which is run by Memento under license from Dorna Sports, and immediately sold out almost all of the items, which included signed race boots and leathers that Alonso wore in his races. The collection also includes autographed, framed photos and signed cap that Alonso wore on the winner’s podium.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer fans a collection of memorabilia from the new Moto3™ World Champion, David Alonso,” said Barry Gough, the founder & CEO of Memento Exclusives. “Our portfolio of memorabilia deals with riders across MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 is constantly growing, but to already have a Moto3 Champion in partnership with us is a testament to our authority in the memorabilia world.”
At press time, the site had already sold both pairs of race-worn boots from the British and Valencia Grand Prix races and the signed podium cap, although the race leathers were still for sale, as well as some of the signed, limited edition autographed photos.
The collection was put up for sale after the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, held over October 4–6 in Motegi, which saw the Colombian ace take the crown for the first time. Alonso joined Moto3 and the GasGas Aspar Team in 2021, but he only became a full-time rider in 2023. In only his second full season in the sport, Alonso has claimed the 2024 Championship at round 16; a rare achievement for an athlete in the early stages of his racing career.
“To be crowned the Moto3 World Champion at the Japanese GP was an incredible achievement for me and my team,” Alonso said. “I’m grateful to all who have supported me, and I’m pleased to be working with MotoGP Authentics to bring fans closer through official memorabilia, including some race used and signed pieces.”
MotoGP Authentics is the home of official MotoGP memorabilia and also has growing Moto2 and Moto3 collections. Alonso was one of the first Moto3 riders to sign a memorabilia deal with the platform. The exclusive pieces have been signed and used by the rider and are only available via MotoGP Authentics, which guarantees authenticity.
