MGM’s Stargate SG-1 series has returned to the mobile game AstroKings with new licensed content, characters, and limited-time events.
This licensing deal between MGM and Tilting Point marks the third time Stargate SG-1 content has been included in the AstroKings game.
Stargate SG-1 is a science-fiction adventure TV series within Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Stargate media franchise. The show was created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner and ran from 1997 to 2002. MGM is a global entertainment company focused on the production and distribution of film and television content across all platforms.
AstroKings is an online multiplayer mobile game that focuses on real-time battle strategy, interplanetary resource management and starship fleet customization. The AstroKings game was published by the free-to-play game publisher Tilting Point through the sci-fi strategy game studio AN Games.
Through this licensing collaboration, AstroKings players will be able to receive four new limited-edition SG-1 characters including The Last Ori Adria, Commander George S. Hammond, Mercenary Vala Mal Doran and Major Janet Fraiser.
In addition, a new Stargate flagship will be available in the game called Light of Ori. The flagship will feature abilities such as increased attack speed and increased missile resistance in battle.
Several limited-time events will be available, such as the Federation Alien Fleet which allows players to summon a new fleet to help them in battle.
Another limited-time Stargate SG-1 event is called I am Legend. This event features opportunities to earn points and rewards for clearing the Stargate dimension rift within the AstroKings game. More Stargate SG-1 events will be announced for the game in the coming weeks.
