Mondo TV Group has secured three major licences for the character brand Gorjuss on behalf of the brand owner, Santoro Licensing.
The three licenses that have been secured include clothing and accessory producer Coriex, greeting card producer Cromo N.B. Srl, and confectionary marketing company Emmeci.
Santoro is a multi-brand design house that creates gifts, stationery and lifestyle products. These products have resulted in both popular brands and successful licensing programs. Santoro’s current highest-profile character brand is Gorjuss.
The Gorjuss brand is based on imagery of stripey-socked girls with big hearts rendered in a cute painted style. The brand currently features over 400 different character images in many product categories. The brand has become a retail phenomenon in over 90 countries, particularly among the child and youth demographic.
Coriex is a well-known producer and distributor of licensed products for children and young people. The company’s focus is in the categories of fashion bags, backpacks, umbrellas, and accessories. The company is planning a number of licensed Gorjuss capsule collections for both winter and summer. The Coriex Gorjuss product range is expected to reach retail in Q4 2022.
Cromo N.B. Srl is a producer and designer of greeting cards. The company will produce three categories of products for its collaboration with Gorjuss. These categories include folded greeting cards with special finishes; folded greeting cards with 3D elements; and printed gift-wrap sheets. All items will be available at retail in Q4 2022.
Emmeci specialises in the marketing of confectionery products for events and holidays. For the partnership with Gorjuss, Emmeci will produce feast of the Epiphany themed socks containing branded confectionery and treats sourced from Italian confectionery companies. The socks will also feature a special surprise toy. All the items will be available at retail for the Jan. 6 Feast of the Epiphany in both 2024 and 2025.
The news of these signings comes only a few months after Mondo TV Group’s appointment by Santoro to represent Gorjuss in the Italian market.
“We are absolutely delighted to be working with Mondo TV Group for Gorjuss in Italy and are thrilled with these new signings!” said Jo Campbell, General Manager at Santoro Licensing.
“It’s great to work with an agency who are committed to achieving our brand direction and they have driven through some excellent deals in just a short time frame. The new products in development are already beginning to look really exciting and we’re feeling very positive about the prospects Mondo has in the pipeline.”
Mondo TV Group is one of the largest European producers and distributors of animated content, as well as a licensing agent for many major international brands.
