Hasbro’s Entertainment One subsidiary is launching a new animated Netflix special called My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock.
The new special episode follows the Mane 5 characters as they work to recruit artistic talent for a music festival that takes place during Bridlewood’s annual Lumi-Bloom nature event.
The special will debut alongside six new episodes that continue the storyline of the My Little Pony: Make Your Mark animated series.
New licensed Bridlewoodstock-themed doll sets will be available for purchase less than a month after the My Little Pony: Make Your Mark special episode airs on June 6, 2023.
The Bridlewoodstock doll sets will be released as part of the My Little Pony Style of the Day toy line. The toys will feature customizable hairstyles, outfits, water-activated face paint, and accessories that are inspired by the fictional Bridlewoodstock music festival.
The characters included in the toy line will be Princess Petals, Zipp Storm, and Misty Brightdawn.
In addition to the regular Mane 5 cast, the upcoming My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock special will introduce a new pop-star character named Ruby Jubilee. The new character will be voiced by the actress, singer, and dancer, Sofia Wylie. Wylie’s vocal talents will be featured in original music for the My Little Pony special.
“I am so excited and thankful to be joining the My Little Pony family as Ruby Jubilee,” said Wylie. “My sister and I have been fans of My Little Pony for our entire lives and being a part of the Bridelwoodstock special is truly a dream fulfilled. There’s so much that I love about the series, from the music to the message, it really has had such an impact on me.”
The My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock special is co-produced by eOne studios SVP, Emily Thompson. The line producer for the special is Natascha Evans and Blayne Burnside is serving as associate director.
