Novel Entertainment has partnered with Puzzle Post to develop two escape room-inspired puzzle games based on the Horrid Henry IP.
Puzzle Post is a UK-based toy and game company that focuses on the concept of of an escape room challenge in an envelope. The company creates high-quality puzzles and games that are delivered in the mail for consumers to enjoy.
Since its initial creation, Puzzle Post has expanded its product range to include over different 30 games such as Dinner Party Editions, Kids Escape Games, Taskmaster Christmas Crackers and more.
“Henry is known for the ingenious plotting and comic challenges that lend themselves perfectly to the concept and game play of an escape room game,” said Novel Entertainment co-founder, Mike Watts. “Puzzle Post is the leading player in this field and they have created some innovative and exciting new games that can be enjoyed by the whole family.”
Both of the licensed Horrid Henry games include eight distinct puzzles that can be set up and solved at home.
Solving all eight puzzles grants players a secret code that unlocks exclusive Horrid Henry content and a downloadable achievement certificate.
The licensed Horrid Henry x Puzzle Post games are called Confiscation Cupboard Chaos and Music Mystery Mayhem. Both puzzle game packs feature recognizable themes, characters and items from the Horrid Henry franchise such as Miss Battle-Axe, Miss Oddbod, the Killer Boy Rats band, Mum and Henry’s Special Spinner.
