The RHS has signed a licensing partnership with The Somerset Toiletry Company for a bath and body collection inspired by botanical art.
Established in 1999, The Somerset Toiletry Company focuses on designing, manufacturing and marketing a wide range of luxury body care and fragrance products.
The Somerset Toiletry Company follows ethical and sustainable business practices to reduce its environmental impact.
This includes the use of cruelty-free and sustainably sourced ingredients, reducing its product packaging, switching to recyclable materials and more.
“A company that is dedicated to sourcing the very best-quality ingredients to create the perfect fragrances and formulations is an ideal partner for the RHS brand in the enormously important bath and body products category,” said RHS licensing manager, Cathy Snow. “The Somerset Toiletry Company is also focused on a drive towards ever-more sustainable products and practices, which was another strong factor in our award of this licence.
“We’re certain this wonderful range will be a big success at retail.”
The upcoming RHS x Somerset product line will include a variety of scented soaps, hand creams, hand washes, shower gels, bath foams and body lotions that feature fragrances and designs inspired by the natural world and the RHS Lindley Collections.
Artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections will inspire the design of the packaging for the licensed products, alongside the official logo for the RHS.
The products in the upcoming line will be available as either single items or as gift packs.
“This collaboration is an enormously exciting one, bringing us together with one of the best-loved heritage brands in the country and its unique and beautiful design assets but, more importantly, a brand that shares our devotion to sustainable practices,” said Somerset Toiletry chair, Sakina Buoy. “We’re delighted and honoured to be partnering with the UK’s favourite gardening charity for this new range.”
The RHS x Somerset collection will initially debut at the Spring Fair marketplace trade event in the UK during February 2025.
The products are scheduled to launch at retail in the second quarter of 2025 in garden centres, department stores, gift shops, tourist centres, farm stores, pharmacies and e-commerce sites in the UK and international markets.
Founded in 1804, the Royal Horticultural Society is the UK’s largest gardening charity. The RHS provides a variety of services such as garden shows, scientific research, library collections, educational initiatives and community programs that are solely-funded by its members, visitors and supporters.
