Just like the Rose Family, you can now go down market in your real estate dreams, as The Op Games has released a Schitt’s Creek edition of Hasbro’s Monopoly game.
Licensed from Hasbro for sales in North America, MONOPOLY: Schitt’s Creek is based on the Emmy Award-winning comedy series about a wealthy family who lose their fortune, and are forced to move to a town that family patriarch Johnny Rose bought as a joke.
Players can join the Rose family as they rebuild their fortunes in Schitt’s Creek, buying and selling properties from the show like The Rosebud Motel, Bob’s Garage, Herb Ertlinger Winery and the Rose Apothecary. Celebrate tongue-in-cheek victories with Hello You and Love That Journey for Me cards, while rent and taxes like Roland’s Truck and “That’s Not a Write Off!” make or break your small-town struggle to come out as the richest little townie and win!
As opposed to the classic Monopoly board, which is based on locations in Atlantic City, the Schitt’s Creek version features locations from the show, while game pieces are based on props like Moira’s wig, David’s sunglasses, a Rosebud Motel key, and Patrick’s guitar. We know, it’s going to be a tough choice.
The new game was just announced, with photos posted on Instagram and Twitter. It’s now available on The Op Games’ website for $39.99. MONOPOLY: Schitt’s Creek is designed for two to six players, ages 14 and up, and has a playing time of more than 60 minutes.
