The toy manufacturer Silverlit has partnered with Automobile Club de l’Ouest and 24 Hours of Le Mans to launch a remote-controlled Hypercar.
Silverlit is a global toy company that operates vertically from design to manufacture. The company specializes in remote control toys which as sold under several different brands. The new Hypercar toy will be marketed using the company’s Exost brand.
The Exost x Le Mans Hypercar features aerodynamic lines, advanced technology, and racing wheels. The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor terrains and has a top speed of 20km/h.
“The shared values between the ACO and Exost allow us to build a meaningful partnership: a shared passion for automobiles (on different scales), a perpetual search for innovation and a desire to transmit and share between generations,” said Silverlit director, Julie Lieber. “This is why we thought it would be relevant to develop an exclusive hypercar model for the ACO, imagined by our designers and completely dedicated to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is an endurance-focused, European motorsports race that has existed since 1923. The Le Mans racing event is held by the motorsports event planner, Automobile Club de l’Ouest which is also known as the ACO.
“The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a unique experience, a moment of emotion that is passed on from generation to generation: you have to live it to understand it,” said ACO director, Stéphane Andriolo. “This partnership with Silverlit is a concrete expression of our desire to transmit the passion for the automobile to future generations through an ultra-realistic model that will continue to bring this legendary race to life outside the circuit.”
The licensing agreement was brokered by Le Mans’ exclusive agency, IMG, to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the Le Mans motorsports event.
