Mondelēz International and Keurig Dr Pepper are launching a fruit-flavored collaboration that combines the Sour Patch Kids candy brand with Snapple juice flavors.
“At Sour Patch Kids, we’re always looking for inventive ways to introduce new flavors and spark excitement among our fans,” said Mondelēz International manager, Grace Howard. “And what better way to do that than by partnering with Snapple, whose iconic juice drink flavors perfectly complement our sour-then-sweet experience.”
The Snapple x Sour Patch Kids licensing partnership includes a Sour Patch Kids mixed candy bag that features three flavors inspired by the Snapple brand’s mango madness, kiwi strawberry, and fruit punch beverages.
To support the limited-edition product launch, Sour Patch Kids and Snapple are launching a co-branded social media campaign on the TikTok platform.
Beginning on Aug. 1, the official Sour Patch Kids’ brand account on TikTok will feature a Snapple-focused virtual trivia game called Fact or Kid.
Participants will need to test their Snapple knowledge to determine if the Sour Patch Kids mascots are presenting a real fact related to the Snapple brand or if they are ‘kidding around.’
Fans who follow @therealsourpatchkids TikTok account and answer three out of five questions correctly can post the video to TikTok with the #SPKContest tag to be entered in a prize draw for a chance to win up to $1,000.
A mail-in entry method is also available for the licensed trivia contest.
“Joining forces with a fellow Gen-Z favorite like the Sour Patch Kids brand allows us to give Snapple fans a delicious new way to treat themselves to their favorite Snapple flavors, and supports the brand’s vision to inspire a more flavorful world,” said Keurig Dr Pepper SVP, Kelli Freeman.
Available for a limited time, the licensed Sour Patch Kids x Snapple product is currently available for purchase through all major retailers across the United States.
