Spin Master is rebooting the Bakugan kids’ entertainment franchise with a new anime series and toy line.
The reimagined Bakugan anime series will launch on Netflix in the US, Canada, Australia, the Nordics and the Middle East on Sept. 1, and will air on Disney XD in the U.S. on Sept. 23.
In addition, the first two episodes of the Bakugan animated series will premiere four weeks ahead of its Netflix debut on Gamefam’s All-Star Tower Defense metaverse experience on the Roblox platform.
The episodes will be available to stream on Roblox in both English and Japanese from Aug. 4 to Aug. 13, 2023.
“The Bakugan franchise will elevate to epic new heights as we further enhance the experience across entertainment and power up the gameplay through toys,” said Spin Master EVP, Jeremy Tucker. “We’ll deliver these new and unique experiences, driving collectability, and introducing new ways for Bakugan fans of all ages to battle and connect with the brand.”
The updated Bakugan toy line will include multiple customizable Bakugan Special Attack toys, a Bakugan Battle Arena playset, Special Attack Cards, redeemable Power Gear tokens, and more.
The new Bakugan Battle Arena playset features multiple launch points, obstacles, storage compartments, and a built-in camera that connects to mobile devices.
The Bakugan Power Gear tokens can be found in the toy packs and redeemed for a digital Bakugan-themed accessory or power-up within the Roblox platform. Additional Power Gear codes will be hidden within content that is posted on the official Bakugan YouTube channel.
The new Bakugan toy line officially launched at major retailers worldwide on Aug. 1, 2023.
