The Society of Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE) is addressing the challenges of global licensing at its International Conference 2022.
SPLiCE CEO Kimberly Kociencki says the annual conference is a key learning experience for licensors, as it brings together an impressive array of experts in the field.
“The SPLICE International Conference is a culmination of global experts that present on areas of peak interest for the SPLiCE membership,” Kociencki says. “This event is key for SPLiCE to deliver upon our promise to continuously improve licensing together with our Members and Global Affiliates.
The organization says this year’s event, held live Oct. 18-19 at Scandinavia House in New York City, strikes on hot topics addressing the ‘what and why’ essentials for international licensing. Those who cannot attend in person can take part virtually through the organization’s Hop-In service.
This year the keynote address will feature Seth Stuhl, the VP of Business Affairs & Legal Counsel, Disney Theatrical Productions. In his presentation, Razzle Dazzle: How Licensing Brings the Musical Stage Play Business from Broadway to the World, Stuhl will share key best practices for a centralized licensing program to drive success internationally.
The presentation is particularly enlightening because it involves licensing strategies for events that are rooted in a particular location, such as a theatre, and shows how licensing gives the event an international presence, even in places where the theatrical event may not take place.
As well, an array of licensing veterans will deliver priceless wisdom on eCommerce and retail, brand protection, leveraging brands in new countries with proven practical case studies & best practices, metaverse brand engagement, and reasons an audit should address ROI marketing efficiencies for the brand.
Kociencki notes that this conference, as with past events, is possible because of the generous donation of time, effort and resources of SPLiCE members and the organizations global affiliates.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors, we are grateful to our generous Global Affiliates for their unwavering thought leadership!,” Kociencki said. Those organizations include Octane5, Amazon, Norscot, Dependable Solutions, Invotext, LMCA, and Stobbs.
