Survey Respondents Get Free Copy of $429 Report, With Chance to Win Draw Prizes As Well
If you’ve got 10 minutes free this weekend, make sure to fill out the 2023 Royalty Trends Survey for a chance to win some valuable prizes.
The deadline to complete the licensing survey is end of day on Monday, April 17. The Royalty Trends Report is due for publication on May 1.
The Royalty Trends Survey, from The Licensing Letter, has been collecting valuable data for the licensing industry since 1978. It’s the industry’s number one report looking at trends in royalties, advances, marketing funds, and other key contract terms, as well as the overall economic situation for the global licensing industry.
This year, anyone who fills out the survey and provides an email address will receive the 2023 Licensing Royalty Trends Report for free, a $429 value.
But this year, TLL has upped the ante for our readers, and we’re now offering to exciting draw prizes. Cirque du Soleil is sponsoring the 2023 Royalty Trends Survey, offering two tickets to one of their spectacular Las Vegas shows as part of the prize package. The tickets can be for any of Cirque’s shows in Las Vegas, and are only subject to availability. As well, the draw prize will be completed before the 2023 Licensing Expo, so winners could potentially attend a Cirque show during the week of Expo.
“The Royalty Trends Report has been running since 1978 and has become an indispensable tool for people working in the licensing industry,” explains Head of Licensing and Collaborations Eleni Planet. “We feel that the more people who fill out the survey, the better the data will be, so we wanted to do our part to support The Licensing Letter’s research.”
As well, TLL is offering a second draw prize for a $500 Amazon gift card. The only requirement is to complete the survey, and to provide an email address so we know where to send the prize and the 2023 Licensing Royalty Trends Report.
Participants can click on THIS LINK to fill out the survey, which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey respondents will be asked to share an email address, which will not be shared with anyone, and which will not be added to any mailing list, in accordance with TLL’s privacy policies.
The email address will be used only to enter the two prize draws, and also to send the free copy of the TLL Royalty Trends Report.
This year’s survey also comes as Cirque du Soleil has greatly expanded its licensing activities in 2023. In August last year Cirque du Soleil welcomed Nickole Tara to the company in the newly created position of Chief Growth Officer.
Tara came to Cirque as a deeply experienced sports and entertainment industry executive, with the heart of an entrepreneur, who has led multimillion global partnerships with several key Fortune 500 companies throughout her career. Prior to joining Cirque, Tara worked for AEG Worldwide where she headed the Global Portfolio division and oversaw the business development for AEG’s collection of global properties.
In that position, Tara engineered first-in-class partnerships for AEG’s top music festivals (namely Coachella and Stagecoach), the naming rights of world class facilities (such as Crypto.com Arena and LA Live), and for storied sports franchises (with LA Kings and LA Galaxy).
As the Chief Growth Officer at Cirque du Soleil, Tara says licensing and collaborative partnerships will be a key part of the strategy going forward.
“Cirque is one of the greatest entertainment companies in the world, and we believe it has a great future in the licensing industry,” Tara said. “We are also believe that the best decisions are driven by data, which is why we were happy to sponsor The Licensing Letter’s annual licensing survey, and we’re thrilled to give some lucky people the chance to experience one of our signature shows in Las Vegas!”
The winning respondent will receive a pair of tickets to a Cirque du Soleil live show in Las Vegas. Show selection will be dependent on ticket availability at the time. Valid through December 31, 2023.
