The Topps Company has partnered with the motorsports brand 24 Hours of Le Mans as its official licensed trading card manufacturer.
The 24H of Le Mans event is an annual endurance-focused automobile racing competition that is run by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, also known as the ACO.
“On the eve of the Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, many partnerships are being formed with prestigious brands,” said ACO’s Stéphane Andriolo. “The history and heritage of the world’s greatest endurance race has always attracted collectors. We are very pleased to sign this partnership with Topps, the leading brand in trading cards. These products will allow all Le Mans 24 Hours enthusiasts to enjoy the race.”
Topps is a US-based collectibles manufacturer that specializes in creating trading cards based on sports and pop-culture brands. The Topps Company was acquired by Fanatics Collectibles in 2022.
Topps will be responsible for manufacturing an exclusive collection of trading cards based on the Le Mans motorsport racing event. The first licensed product will feature artwork based on both the original 1923 Le Mans posters and current event posters.
“As one of the most prestigious and historical licenses in motor sport, 24H Le Mans is a brand we are excited and honoured to be representing in their Centenary year,” said Topps GM, Mark Catlin.
The licensing partnership between the two companies was brokered by Le Mans’ exclusive licensing agency IMG in January 2023.
The officially licensed trading card collection will be available for purchase on the Topps website beginning this month.
