The Wet Seal fast-fashion company is shifting its business operations away from traditional retail stores to focus on wholesale brand licensing.
To facilitate its transition into the licensing industry, the company has signed an agreement with Style Revolution that grants them the rights to manufacture and distribute Wet Seal branded products across several apparel categories.
The categories included in the Style Revolution x Wet Seal licensing partnership are shirts, pants, dresses, fleece, sweaters, activewear and denim for both junior and junior plus size demographics.
Per the terms of the licensing agreement, Style Revolution will focus on creating new Wet Seal fashion collections that cater to the brand’s core customer base of young, fashion-conscious women.
“We are thrilled to partner with Wet Seal to leverage their established brand recognition and reach a wider audience,” said Style Revolution CEO, Albert Gammal. “This licensing agreement allows us to showcase our design talents and create high-quality, trend-right sportswear under the Wet Seal brand.”
The strategic licensing partnership will enable Wet Seal to maintain its brand identity for affordable fashion without the overhead costs associated with running traditional retail stores.
The company’s new wholesale business model will also allow the brand to reach additional markets by leveraging the expertise of established manufacturing and distribution companies through strategic licensing partnerships.
The licensing partnership between Wet Seal and Style Revolution deal was brokered by the Starwood Brands licensing agency on behalf of the Wet Seal fashion company.
Starwood Brands is an experienced licensing and brand management agency that specializes in securing high-profile manufacturing and distribution partnerships for its clients.
