Universal Music Group’s Bravado division has added several new key members to its executive leadership team.
The new appointments include (clockwise starting from the left, above) Alyssa Tobias as VP of creative services, Keith Taperell as VP of global brand partnerships and energy marketing, Kim Youngberg as head of legal, and Bill Ashton as head of A&R.
“As Bravado’s roster continues to expand, our company has evolved to ensure that we are giving our artists best-in-class support and services, and excited to announced that Alyssa, Bill, Keith and Kim have joined our senior leadership team,” said Bravado president, Matt Young.
As the new VP of creative services, Alyssa Tobias will be responsible for leading Bravado’s global creative team.
Prior to joining Bravado, Tobias served as SVP of creative development and design at Live Nation Merchandise.
As head of A&R, Bill Ashton will work to identify and develop emerging artists and brands through merchandise and brand management.
Before joining Bravado, Ashton worked as a managing director for the live-music company Songkick.
In the newly-created position of VP of global brand partnerships and energy marketing, Keith Taperell will direct the execution, tone, and visual design of Bravado’s artist portfolio across multiple categories and global touchpoints. This will include the categories of fashion, streetwear, luxury and more.
Taperell initially joined Bravado in 2020 as the company’s UK-based VP of sales & retail.
Prior to Bravado, he held several senior management positions at companies in the apparel and footwear sector.
Kim Youngberg has been named Bravado’s head of legal. In her new position, Youngberg will focus on the company’s external business development. She will also provide legal leadership for the company’s global artistic teams, retail, e-commerce, and UMG-owned brands and labels.
Prior to joining Bravado, Youngberg was a partner at the entertainment-focused law firm, The Davis Firm.
