ZAG is establishing a global initiative with Institute Rafaël to provide free holistic therapies to children with cancer.
The Rafaël Integrative Health Institute is a pilot project aimed at transforming oncology and health care through individually-tailored treatment plans that focus on improving overall quality of life.
“It is devastating for families when a child receives a life-threatening or terminal illness diagnosis, and an added burden is the financial cost,” said Institute Rafaël co-founder, Dr. Alain Toledano. “By partnering with the ZAG Foundation in this new initiative, we will not only be able to provide free holistic cancer care to hundreds of children, but also address issues of emotional health by offering opportunities for them to feel engaged, entertained, and purposeful as they start their healing process.”
Led by the ZAG Foundation and Dr. Toledano, the new initiative will offer free, non-medical cancer care to children on a dedicated floor of the Institute Rafaël.
The dedicated floor will be designed to provide children with free holistic care in an age-appropriate and supportive environment.
This will include treatments to help manage chronic pain, promote emotional wellbeing, and enhance quality of life.
The ZAG Foundation x Institute Rafaël program will offer services such as psychology, nutritional guidance, acupuncture, massage, talk therapy and more.
The program will also provide themed entertainment and enrichment activities such as art therapy, music, cosplay, toys, arts and crafts, storytelling, reading, entertainment, interactive games and more.
Many of these activities will offer exclusive custom content based on ZAG’s Miraculous, Ghostforce and Melody entertainment brands.
“It has been one of our biggest dreams at the ZAG Foundation to be able to provide support for children and their parents who are struggling with illness, and we are so proud that this project is going to be a reality in partnership with the tremendously accomplished Dr. Toledano and Institute Rafaël,” said ZAG CEO, Jeremy Zag. “Our hope is that together we can provide hope for families dealing with extraordinary situations through free holistic care and entertainment that is inspirational and empowering.”
Dr. Toledano is an experienced oncology specialist who is recognized in his discipline by the French National Authority for Health and the French National Cancer Institute.
ZAG is a global independent entertainment studio that specializes in creating animated content across TV, film, and digital platforms.
The ZAG Foundation is a dedicated charitable division of the company that focuses on philanthropic endeavors across the globe.
The first ZAG Foundation holistic care program will launch in 2025 at the Rafaël Integrative Health Institute headquarters in Paris, France.
The initiative intends to launch ZAG care programs at Rafaël Institute locations in several other countries across the globe over the next five years.
