Kung Fu Tea is getting a superpowered boost, launching two new beverages inspired by the animated hit show action-comedy series Miraculous—Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
“We are thrilled to join forces with superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir who are cherished by fans worldwide,” said Matthew Poveromo, Marketing Manager, Kung Fu Tea. “This collaboration embodies our commitment to delivering fun, innovative experiences and delightful flavors to our customers, while also celebrating the spirit of the globally popular Miraculous TV series.”
The collaboration will see Kung Fu Tea releasing two special beverages this month, both inspired by the main characters. Ladybug will be represented by “Ladybug’s Spots On Lemonade,” while Cat Noir fans can sip on “Cat Noir’s Cocoa Cream Cataclysm.” As well, this partnership will also offer exclusive KFT x Miraculous stickers with purchase, allowing fans to collect six different designs from the series.
Miraculous follows the adventures of two seemingly typical teens who magically transform into secret superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, to protect their city of Paris from a variety of evil-doers. The show has been a huge hit for animation studio ZAG, with five seasons and three one-hour animated specials available in the U.S. on Disney Channel and Disney+. Seasons one to three are also on Netflix. The animated blockbuster Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir, The Movie launched on Netflix in the U.S. in July 2023.
The series has also attracted more than 37 billion views on YouTube, 650 million+ plays on Roblox; and over 300 million licensed products have been sold, earning revenues well in excess of a billion dollars for licensed sales alone.
This latest collaboration partners ZAG with a fast-growing beverage company, as Kung Fu Tea has grown to more than 400 locations in the U.S. and Canada since its founding in 2010 at the original location in Queens, New York. The company is now the top bubble tea purveyor in North America.
